Spotlight – on the Calvin Klein Doll House

On Madison Avenue (New York) the Calvin Klein collection store provided an unusual centerpiece to their Christmas holiday window. Originally a conception of Senior Vice President of their creative services, Dale Rozmiarek, but the actual finished product was finally designed by architect Joshua Prince-Ramus and his company , REX Architecture P.C ., working alongside structural Company Magnusson Klemencic Associates and fabricator Situ Studio. A special debut on Madison Avenue The structure, named “Madison Avenue (Doll)House” was a vision by Rozmiarek as a future home that projects modernistic , urban living and shows the importance of having space. The structure remained in the window throughout the holiday season until January 5th. Photo source: yatzer.com A peep into the future home The working style of Prince-Ramus was ideal for this project as their designs have a reputation of elloquence and intelligence. They understood the concept of the structure  straight away, then as a team added all the other elements along the way. Photo source: yatzer.com Intricate detailing of mini replicas Designed with the typical Calvin Klein concepts throughout, this stylish model spans 4 storeys, and includes a modern urban roof area. The materials that make up this stunning example are acrylic sheeting, fabricated steel , and four way stretch spandex. This elegant structure cost one thousand pounds to make and was worth every penny as it floats above this famous New York street thanks to suspension hangers made of steel. The company’s creative directors from several departments were responsible for the design and contribution of these items.
