The worst situation to be in is to love a house that you can’t have. • You also want to make sure to give yourself ample time to find the right house. Being rushed can sometimes lead to stress, or even worse, a bad decision. Don’t get yourself in a situation where you have to move out of your home and don’t have a new one yet. Try and set aside one day a week for house hunting. So every Saturday you can go see a few homes. • Don’t look for a house in a town you know nothing about. Look at certain town for a reason. If you have kids, go to properties in area with strong school systems. Talk to locals or friends of locals to find out about safety and friendliness of the area you are looking at. • Don’t always leave your kids behind on this journey either. It may seem like they will be annoying but it is important to know their opinion. They may even notice signs that slip past your elder eye It is easier to love a house you child loves. It helps to know if they like the size of the backyard or the size of the bedrooms.
